The Essentials

The Sledge Gauntlet Glove is for the rider who wants maximum protection from the elements without losing too much dexterity. We built this one to be our warmest option, combining a full leather palm with a heavy-duty Cordura shell and an extended gauntlet to keep the frost and powder out of your sleeves. It is a rugged, high-dexterity powerhouse that keeps you comfortable when the weather turns and the adventure keeps going.

The Nitty-Gritty

When you are out exploring the higher ridges, you want a glove that handles the wind but doesn't feel like a marshmallow on your hands. For the Sledge, we solved the warmth-to-dexterity puzzle by using two different types of Primaloft. We put 200g of Aerogel on the backhand to block the freezing wind and 60g of Primaloft Grip in the palm. This improves your dexterity while still providing enough warmth to keep your fingers moving when you are navigating through the trees.

The gauntlet style is a real lifesaver on those deep powder days. By using an extended cuff with a drawcord closure, you can seal the gap between your glove and your jacket, making sure no snow finds its way inside while you're digging or riding. We also used a full goat leather palm without any seams and wrapped the leather around the fingertips to ensure the glove is as durable as the rest of your gear. With a Waterproof Sympatex insert and full leather knuckles, the Sledge is built to be your go-to glove for the coldest adventures of the winter.
